Authentic hot stone massage is a deeply nurturing technique that uses smooth, palm-sized basalt stones, warmed to a moderate heat, to massage your body. The technique was developed as an alternative therapy to offer a deep form of massage that works on many different levels – for mind, body and spirit.

Basalt stones are excellent conductors of heat. When warmed, the stones are able to penetrate seven times more deeply than the warmth that comes from traditional massage techniques. This ensures your muscles are deeply massaged, leaving your body relaxed and free of knots and tension.

Basalt stones also contain powerful vibrational energy that can be used to improve energy flow within the body. Often our internal energy gets blocked – hot stone massage releases blocked and negative energy, restoring balance to the body.

As well as assisting the nervous system, massage also stimulates the lymphatic system, removing toxins from the body and helping it to rebalance and repair.
